TENSION FABRIC utilizes a dye-sublimation process to create a vibrant, permanent image. This image is literally heat-pressed from transfer paper, onto fabric with stretch qualities similar to Lycra®. The creation of TENSION FABRIC structures is a true coming together of science and art. Knowing what size and proportions to sublimate the image so that it is visually correct when expanded is where skill and experience play a major role.
